Blue Expanses Crochet Pattern

“Blue expanses” is a versatile dress worked from the waist up and down in opposite directions with a temporary boot. The instructions contain a size, suitable for a chest of 92 cm [36.25 inches], waist of 70 cm [27.5 inches] and hips of 92 cm [36.25 inches]. The back and front are worked separately and sewn for added stability of the bodice part (but can be worked in the round if desired). Sleeves and skirt are worked in the round. The pattern contains detailed instructions, diagrams (with measurements in centimeters) as well as a pattern for the fabric pockets and general tips on (but no pattern patterns for) sewing the petticoat. The lower part of the skirt can be decorated with any colored pattern of your choice (patterns not included).

You will need:
Yarn: Tweed, with a yardage of 400 to 700 m [438 to 765.5 yds] per 100 g [3.5 oz], between 400 and 600 g [14 to 21 oz] in total, depending on length desired and machined size
– carry-on thread in the same color as tweed (if needed), length in yards of at least 1,500 m / 100 g [1,640.5 yds / 3.5 oz]

Folie à Deux Crochet Pattern

A folie à deux is an illusion or psychosis shared by two people. This particular folie à deux is shared between me and designer Kathleen Lawton-Trask (author of Silver Screen Knits, Volumes One and Two, classic film connoisseur and blogger) who sent me more yarn than anyone should own and gave me full domination to do what I wanted with it. The inspiration for the two resulting models came from Audrey Hepburn’s timeless style. Hepburn’s easygoing grace while rocking casual stripes is truly enviable!

This dress and pullover were designed in an adventurous style for knitting. Do you want a dress or a sweater? Do you prefer to knit in the round or flat? What’s your preference for 1×1 rib? Long or short sleeves? Crewneck or scoop? Graduated strips? Stripes the same? No stripes? It’s up to you. Choose the aspects you like best and run with them.

Sumarrós Crochet Pattern
