Grannies Sampler Blanket Crochet Pattern
Ginny’s Grannies Sampler Blanket CAL will run throughout 2020. We will be making a granny square sampler blanket in the colors of the rainbow. The blanket has a fun layout inspired by a blanket from an old Better Homes & Gardens book that my Grammy Ginny gave me. This first post will tell you everything you need to understand how CAL works and to get ready to make your own blanket.
The PDF for this template will be updated every month as the next section is added.
The last part of the CAL pattern will be released on November 19, 2020.
Then on December 17, 2020 a CAL summary will be released with a giveaway for next year’s CAL on my site – click the link to this template to get there.

Three Hour Throw Crochet Pattern
The Three Hour Throw lives up to its name – you can knit this Afghan jumbo in under 3 hours! And you don’t even need a giant hook – just Bernat Blanket Extra and your hands, and the free crochet blanket pattern at Moogly!
To do the three hour toss, I used two strands of Bernat Blanket Extra held together – and this made some really big stitches!
Crochet with your hands really isn’t any harder than crochet with a hook. Yarn with the yarn again before passing it through the loops.

Stripy Texture Motif Blanket Crochet Pattern
Texture is the name of the game with this crochet blanket that is both structurally and visually interesting. Working in our soft Caron Simply Soft, use double crochet front and back for the starting square and half double crochet in the front buttonhole to create the ridges in the stripes. You can give it a nice autumn feel by sewing as shown or explore a world of color for this design which is easily customized to suit any interior setting. It’s a great launch to celebrate the changing seasons!
