Cotton Candy Beginner Cardigan Crochet Pattern

Please note that there was a pattern correction from the original version at the arm openings on the front panels. Interlace the first two points on the first panel and the last two points on the second panel in the pattern line. See the updated model on the blog. Thank you !!

The look and feel of this extraordinarily soft and airy cardigan will remind you of cotton candy! It features a comfortable loose knit fabric with simple stockinette stitch and garter stitch. The stitch definition is gorgeous and works quickly with large knitting needles. Because it’s made with minimal shaping and only requires beginner knitting skills, this is the perfect project for first-time sweater makers.

Nautical Cardigan Crochet Pattern

Without having to cut the yarn between the strips, this feminine crochet nautical cardigan is super easy and fun to make. I can’t tell you how much I enjoyed using just half high and double stitch to create such a beautiful effect between the stripes and a subtle kind of braid and lace effect in the dark blue stripes! And of course it’s super quick to make, because I’m using good old-fashioned stitches. Plus, this crochet cardigan pattern is free and includes a simple Youtube video tutorial, where you can see the close-up of the fabric.

Simply Stated Cardigan Crochet Pattern

The Simply Stated Cardigan is a chunky, open cardigan designed to be the perfect addition to your wardrobe. This is a great pattern for novice knitters or those unfamiliar with sweater knitting and is also fun for the more advanced knitter. This cardigan is a top-down raglan sweater that is easy to modify as you knit and works quickly with large needles and chunky yarn.

Size guide + finished measurements
The cardigan is written in four sizes, 1 (2, 3, 4), with a finished bust of 40.5 (45, 49, 53.5) / 103 (114, 124.5, 135.5) cm. The cardigan is designed to have approximately 15-20.5cm of positive ease, so choose a size that provides the desired comfort or fits the desired comfort. For example, if you have a 96.5cm / 38in bust, a size 2 would be ideal for around 18cm of ease. Feel free to adjust the body length and armhole depth as you wish. You can try on the cardigan as you go.
